For as long as I can remember, I've had this strong intuition that even a small improvement in learning would add up to an enormous difference over the course of a person's life.

If you were just a little better at reading, if you made 1% fewer mistakes, or if you had more systematic tools for thought, the consequences could be huge.

It could be the difference between a middling career and winning a Nobel Prize, for instance, or between being a middle manager in a big company and founding the next Google.

Though I always thought about these issues at the level of the individual, in recent years I've begun to think more about what's called 'collective intelligence.'

What if there weren't just ways of improving how people think, but also ways of improving how groups of people, maybe even entire organizations, think?

Joining us to talk these things over is one of the luminaries in the 'tools for thought' space, Rob Haisfield.

Rob became famous by exploring the power of Roam Research to allow for scaled insights, and now he's taking this work to a whole new level.
